Hand-drawn tribute to a photograph by British photographer Martyn Goodacre, shot in San Francisco around the release of Daily Operation. DJ Premier stands holding an oversized boombox, an icon of 90s hip hop. I wanted one.

Gang Starr were a huge part of the soundtrack that shaped my taste in hip hop. Like skateboarding, I was drawn to the underground.
